NX501 Bluetooth Update

Please follow these steps to update your NX501's Bluetooth software. Please use a blank Micro SD card that has no content.

1 Setup

1.1.Please prepare an empty micro SD card, of which capacity is more than 128 Mbyte.

(You cannot use the 4G Micro SD card that came with the NX501. If you do, it will void your warranty and you will need to purchase a replacement card.)

1.2.Please download "Latest_BT_Update(3.23)" file to your PC. Both ZIP and RAR file formats have been provided, you only need one.

1.3.Please extract the files to an empty directory and copy the entire "SW_Update" folder into the micro SD card.

2.Update

2.1.Please turn off the NX501 power by pressing and holding the power button.

2.2.Please insert the micro SD card (contacts facing up) into the MicroSD card slot beneath the volume control. Remove the SD Card that is in the NX501 and set it aside. (DO NOT LOSE THIS CARD)

2.3.Press the volume button to turn the unit back on. You should see the screen below.

2.6 This is the update screen. It takes about four minutes to finish the update.

Do not touch the radio, or remove power to the radio during this procedure or permanent damage may occur, unless specifically instructed to do so.

2.7 Once complete a message stating "The system has been updated. Please restart." will be displayed.

2.8 Press and hold the volume button to turn the system off.

2.9 Remove the Micro SD card and reinstall the original card.

2.10 Turn the source unit back on and resume operation.

2.11 You may need to delete and re-establish the Bluetooth pairing with your cell phone. If there is any abnormal functionality, please delete the phone from the source unit and the source unit from your phone. The re-establish the Bluetooth Pairing.
