New Clarion in-car multimedia units don’t discriminate

Size Matters

Whether a single DIN stickler or double DIN devotee, the latest in-car multimedia stations from Clarion have all customers’ needs well and truly covered, with a duo of high-end units bursting with features and boasting the same great looks, for a seamless addition into any dashboard aperture.

With an emphasis on connectivity and compatibility, the Clarion VX401E (2 DIN) and VZ401E (1 DIN) deliver a fluid integration between mobile and in-car entertainment, with both units boasting full audio functionality of iPod, iPhone and other supported devices, via a rear facing USB port.

For a full compliment of audio playback options, a Bluetooth interface allows audio streaming (A2DP & AVRCP) via mobile phone, whilst also providing safe, hands-free access to a range of features on any supported phone.

Both Clarion units are Official DivX® Certified products and support the DivX 6 format of the latest DVD-video, DVD-R and DVD-RW movie files, whilst video playback via iPod/iPhone is also made possible with the optional addition of a supporting cable (CCA748).

The display of, and access to, all functions on the fixed panel 2-DIN 6.2” WGA colour Digital LCD touch screen (VX401E) is replicated on the 1-DIN 7” equivalent (VZ401E), whose motorised flip-out screen is tilt adjustable, with both models featuring hard key controls for source and volume, adjustable brightness/contrast, and blue button illumination. Furthermore, both units offer connectivity of one or more additional screens - to share the in-car experience with passengers - via a Rear Monitor RCA video output, whilst there is also an opportunity to install and connect a dedicated rear vision camera via an RCA video input, to aid safer driving.

Clarion has consistently stood at the forefront of in-car audio technology, boasting a number of industry firsts*, and both the VX401E and VZ401E succeed in delivering state-of-the-art home-cinema style audio reproduction to the car. A high-quality 24-bit D/A (Digital to Analogue) converter, built-in Low Pass Filter, stand-alone subwoofer control alongside bass and treble control, all play out via a 4 x 40 W high power output, delivering home-entertainment quality audio to the in-car environment.

The Clarion VX401E and VZ401E are both priced at RRP £449.00, and are available from Clarion appointed specialists across the UK. For more details call Clarion (GB) Ltd., on 01793 870400, or visit www.clarion.co.uk.
