The newest "car radio" from Clarion is a Bluetooth SD/MP3 receiver that is compatible with the newest memory generations. Instead of a CD drive behind the control panel cover, there is a SD card slot with which the radio can be fed with music. A further possibility of data import is enabled with the Bluetooth audio streaming. With this, music pieces can be played directly from a mobile phone or an iPod. The standard formats A2DP and AVRCP are compatible. A further feature of the Bluetooth wireless technology is the hands-free function for the mobile. The Clarion FB278RBT is equipped with an RDS-EON tuner that provides memory for 18 stations. The 4x 50 watts MOS-FET amplifier provides great sound even without an additional power amplifier. Futuristic design is a further feature of the trendsetting equipment of the "car radio". The innovative design device has a white surface with control elements in a shark gill design – ergonomics pure, based on the Clarion HMI (Human Machine Interface) operating concept. The optical highlight of the whole thing is that the buttons can be indirectly illuminated with 728 different colours.
