Terms and Conditions

  • Applicants must be over 17 years of age and a resident of the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland or Channel Islands.
  • Registration is completed within 21 days following the date of original purchase from an authorised Clarion distributor.
  • For cover to be valid, the Detachable Control Panel must have been removed both from the unit and vehicle by the claimant.
  • In order to be covered, the vehicle must be locked whilst unattended, and theft must have followed a forceful entry. Theft from convertible vehicles where the top has been left down will not be covered.
  • In the event of a claim you may be asked to prove forcible entry to the vehicle by providing receipts for any repair work.
  • Cover is restricted to the back part of the unit only and no other related parts of the audio system or damage caused to the other parts of the vehicle, during the act of theft or attempted theft.
  • Any registration form which is damaged, defaced, illegible, incomplete or which does not comply with the terms and conditions of this scheme may be deemed to be invalid at the discretion of Clarion (GB) Ltd.
  • Claims must be made within seven days of theft and supported by the following.
    • Claim Form. (Obtainable from Clarion's Customer Care Department).
    • The original removable control panel.
    • Police crime report number.
    • Original purchase receipt (or fitting sheet).
    • Receipts covering repairs for forcible entry.
  • The replacement unit provided will be the identical Clarion model to that stolen or a model equal or better in specification as defined by Clarion (GB) Ltd.
  • No cash alternatives will be offered. Your original control panel will be returned with a new "back" section.
  • In the event that you do not receive your theft protection cover confirmation within 14 days of mailing the registration, please write to: The Customer Care Department, Clarion (GB) Limited, Unit 1 Marshall Road, Hillmead, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN5 5YU, stating that you have not received this information.
  • It is your (the customer's) responsibility to ensure that you are registered.
  • Clarion cannot accept responsibility for registration lost or delayed in transit, whether made on-line or via sail-mail. Proof of posting your application for cover will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
  • You will be notified of acceptance within 14 days of application.
  • The terms and conditions of this policy may be varied at the sole discretion of Clarion (GB) Ltd. These terms and conditions do not affect your normal statutory rights.
  • Clarion (GB) Ltd reserves the right to terminate or vary the contents of this cover at any time and will endeavour to give all customers as much notice as reasonably possible.
  • Any fraudulent registration or claims will automatically terminate cover and result in prosecution.
  • By registering under this scheme you will have been deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by its terms and conditions.
  • Clarion reserve the absolute right to determine any claim as it sees fit and is not liable to enter into any correspondence with the claimant or otherwise give reasons for its decision.
  • Cover will be for 12 months from the date of registration or 24/36 months if the Extended Cover is taken up.
  • Where a unit has been stolen and a replacement unit provided, your cover will automatically cease. You will then have to register your replacement unit in order for it to be covered by Free Theft Protection for 12 months. In the event of you wishing to have Extended Cover you will be required to forward the appropriate fee.
  • Claims under the Incidental Damage will not terminate cover unless you have to be issued a replacement product.
