New Products Offer Seamless Connections

Cypress, Calif., (January 6, 2007) – Clarion Corporation of America (Clarion), a global leader of mobile electronics entertainment systems, brings the future of technology to the present by incorporating the latest trends and connectivity in 2007. Clarion offers products that feature seamless connectivity to portable media and storage devices.

The 2007 Clarion source unit line takes the integration of music and information to the next level. Intensely fast 1Mbps data transfer allows an iPod or cellular phone to stream high quality audio directly into the Clarion audio system. Clarion also offers Bluetooth solutions for existing streaming audio products, as well as add-on components for the iPod.

Clarion is pleased to introduce its new Bluetooth transceivers. The BLT370, with MSRP of $149.99, is a Bluetooth audio/mobile-phone transceiver that allows streaming audio directly from a portable device to an audio system with a push of a button. A2DP compatible, the BLT370 turns any Bluetooth enabled cell-phone or portable device into an audio source for in-car entertainment. Add the DGL370, with MSRP of $99.99, and stream music from your iPod Video, iPod mini or iPod Nano. IPod specific cradles are available to fit your iPod (MSRP $39.99).

“Here at Clarion we say ‘any source, any time’,” continues Dominguez. “If you can burn it, upload it or record it, a 2007 Clarion source unit is ready to play it.”

Clarion units offer compressed audio playback from with MP3, WMA and AAC from CD or DVD, full iPod control from any CeNET ready deck and Clarion’s USB and SD interface allows for music and data transfer. For 2007, Clarion USB-enabled radios will allow access to 15,000 songs from a single USB device, and view ID3 tag information to view listening information. Transfer music and data through the built-in USB port. With several source units and multimedia source units featuring USB ports, Clarion offers a full range of flexibility.

The DFZ675MC includes an SD card reader for greater information dissemination. With Music Catcher II technology and improved sound quality recording, the DFZ675MC can record up to 650 minutes of music. The DFZ675MC has MSRP of $549.99

Connect any audio and video portable device, including a transportable satellite radio receiver or portable navigation system with ease. The front panel auxiliary audio input featured on several source units provides connectivity with clarity, while other source units offer RCA inputs with level control.

With provisions for USB memory devices, SD card slots, front panel auxiliary inputs and easy to use iPod interfaces, there’s few portable device that can’t be enjoyed through an audio system by Clarion.
