Clarion's HMI Redefines the meaning of "Human Machine Interface" in 2007

Products integrate audio, video and navigation into one interface

Cypress, Calif., (January 6, 2007) – Clarion Corporation of America (Clarion), a global leader of mobile electronics entertainment systems, expands on their exclusive HMI (Human Machine Interface) technology for 2007. Clarion’s HMI products feature seamless connectivity to portable media and storage devices and allow the integration of audio, video, navigation and iPod connectivity into a single device.

The heart of Clarion HMI products includes the VRX775VD and the MAX675VD – complete multimedia navigation units with iPod interface. The VRX775VD evolves the capabilities of a DIN-sized source unit thanks to a motorized 7-inch folding LCD monitor. Clarion’s advanced Human Machine Interface allows quick and intuitive control of the VRX775VD with touch screen panel. The unit is also iPod, Satellite Radio and navigation ready for the premier mobile entertainment system. With a 24-Bit D/A Converter and six-channel pre-amp output with 2-Zone control, the dash is now the control center for a mobile theater experience. The VRX775VD retails at $1099.99 MSRP.

The double-DIN MAX675VD multimedia system boasts a fully motorized 7-inch color widescreen LCD and features true 2-zone entertainment. With a dedicated iPod button, the MAX676VD offers full iPod control of music function and video playback. With touch-screen control the MAX675VD is Satellite Radio Ready and Navigation Ready. For a retail price of $1099.99 MSRP the MAX675VD is the perfect choice to be at the heart of any mobile entertainment system.

For 2007, Clarion introduces a hard disc drive navigation unit, the NAX970HD. For high-speed calculation and accurate search, the high-speed 30GB hard drive in the NAX970HD offers the utmost in navigation. As a world leader in the implementation of HMI into mobile entertainment devices, Clarion employed a dedicated Graphics Processing Unit to allow the NAX970HD to create high resolution full-motion 2D and 3D menus with large, intuitive, easy-to-read buttons. The NAX970HD can be used with either the MAX675VD or VRX775VD to realize a fully integrated Audio, Video and Navigation system from a single interface. The NAX907HD will retail for $1099.99 MSRP.
