Q11 |
How can I tell if I am getting good satellite reception? |
A11 |
There are a couple of ways you can determine strength of the satellite signal. When utilizing the GPS navigation feature, look for the onscreen satellite icon, which changes color based on signal strength. When the icon is green, N.I.C.E. is receiving a good signal. Light green means the signal is weak, and gray means that N.I.C.E. is not picking up a signal. You can also see how many satellites your unit is receiving by going to the “Setup” menu and pressing the “GPS Status button.”

Q12 |
Is there a way to bypass the warning script so it does not pop up every time I use the navigation portion? |
A12 |
The message is a necessary safety precaution Clarion has employed to ensure the safe operation of N.I.C.E. while the vehicle is in operation. Users should refrain from entering addresses or destinations while the vehicle is in motion, as N.I.C.E. should only be used to navigate during vehicle operation. To safely enter a destination, drivers should pull over to the side of the road. Viewing movies is prohibited while the vehicle is in motion.
